This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded corporate lawyer with experience in corporate, M&A or projects to work in house and assist on strategic, commercial and projects matters in a dynamic listed corporation.
Our client is looking for a top-notch Corporate Lawyer (10 years plus pqe) to join its growing business. As General Manager – Legal, you will help the business manage its legal risk and commercial activities. The role will be responsible for providing commercial advice and managing the delivery of legal services, including but not limited to, managing projects, providing legal advice, drafting contracts, managing disputes, representing the business in meetings and dispute resolution forums and assisting with corporate governance and company secretarial matters.
Areas to be covered in role:
- Project development and operations contracting – mining, EPC, maintenance, utility supplies (power and water)
- Capital raising activities – project finance and equity capital
- Product offtake agreements
- Landholder engagement/land acquisitions
- Regulatory engagement/oversight
- Joint venture/tolling arrangements
- Farmouts
- Assistance with company secretarial matters
