Our client is an ASX listed company with a strong brand and a reputation for innovation and excellence in creating its products in a creative and sustainable way. They are seeking a generalist in-house lawyer to join their friendly in-house legal team.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced and established legal team and to work across a range of areas in this high performing, approachable and collaborative team. You will work closely with the General Counsel and legal team across the internal business units in relation to the following:
- Drafting and negotiation of key projects and commercial agreements
- Providing frontline support in relation to a broad range of legal matters such as negotiation with key stakeholders, regulators, corporate advisory, workplace relations and IP
- Assisting with corporate governance and ASX listing requirements
- Supporting the business units in negotiating and resolving key disputes
- Engaging with and supporting delivery of advice from external lawyers as required
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have between 2-5 years’ PQE experience from a well-regarded law firm or similar in-house organisation. You will also have:
- A friendly, approachable manner with the ability to engage and communicate at all levels.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and commitment to develop stakeholder relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal clients and outside service providers.
- A commercial and pragmatic attitude to legal issues
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
The role is based at its Global Head Office in Melbourne.
